The state chapter is funded by local and regional sponsors who use the materials developed by the National Financial Educators Council. The National Financial Educators Council (NFEC) has a stated mission of giving people the knowledge and guidance they need to achieve greater financial well-being. That mission is guided by the values of empowerment, independence, and leadership. The NFEC empowers adults who wish to improve their financial wellness by providing diverse resources complimentary.

The NFEC created these high-quality, independent resources in collaboration with top educators, financial professionals, and personal finance experts. The materials align with the highest academic standards and have been acclaimed as best practices for teaching adults personal finance skills. By offering the resources complimentary, the NFEC spearheads the global financial wellness movement.

Fundamentals of Budgeting Workshop

This course introduces the basic aspects of budgeting and how budgeting benefits your progress toward attaining your desired lifestyle and reaching your financial goals. You will be introduced to the three primary types of expenses and tactics for reducing monthly payments toward those expenses. Action steps for creating a solid budget and automating financial accounting systems to facilitate regular review and revisions are provided.

Retirement Planning Workshop

At some point, we all take a look at our financial situation and wonder, “when can I retire?” This workshop gives students a chance to start that process. Through a series of lessons, students will get a chance to gain a better understanding of why people invest, identify what their personal risk tolerance levels are when it comes to investing, and calculate what their needs will be when retirement time rolls around. This workshop is a first step on the road to successful retirement financial planning.
